About this Event

Conference Theme:

Scrutinizing Future Prospects Of Upgraded Radiology, Medical Imaging Modalities And Innovations

About Conference:

It is a privilege to us to be the host of the “World Congress on Radiology, Medical Imaging and Clinical Research” scheduled during November 18-19, 2019 at Bangkok, Thailand. The conference will focus on the theme:"Scrutinizing Future Prospects of Upgraded Radiology, Medical Imaging Modalities and Innovations". This is an event that brings together active researchers, intellectuals, academicians, students, contributors and industrialists to exchange ideas communicate and discuss research findings on new advancements in all kinds of available Radiation therapies worldwide. This is a two-day multidisciplinary meeting covering all aspects of Medical Imaging and Radiation, including clinical service delivery, management, informatics and research.

It also provides a premier interdisciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the fields of Radiology and Imaging.

Scope and Importance:

Radiology is now the key diagnostic tool for many diseases and has an important role in monitoring treatment and predicting outcome. It has a number of imaging modalities in its armamentarium which have differing physical principles of varying complexity. Radiology is the medical specialty that uses medical imaging to diagnose and treat diseases within the body. Interventional radiology is the performance of (usually minimally invasive) medical procedures with the guidance of imaging technologies.

Medical Imaging is a technical process which creates Visual representation of interior body for clinical analysis and medical intervention, as well as visual representation of the function of some organs. Medical imaging seeks to reveal internal structures hidden by the skin and bones. Medical imaging is often perceived to designate the set of techniques that noninvasively produce images of the internal aspect of the body. Medical imaging also diagnoses and treats disease. As it incorporates radiology which uses imaging technologies of X-ray radiography, magnetic resonance imaging, medical ultrasonography or ultrasound, endoscopy, elastography, elastography tactile imaging, thermography, medical photography and nuclear medicine functional are imaging techniques as positron emission tomography (PET) and single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT).

Clinical Research refers to the entire bibliography of a drug/device/biologic. Clinical research resembles with health care sciences, determines safety and effectiveness of education, diagnostic products and treatment regimen for human use. These are used for prevention, treatment, diagnosis or for reliving symptoms. Clinical research is different from clinical practice. The clinical research ecosystem involves a complex network of sites, pharmaceutical companies and academic medical centers and affiliated research study sites. This has led to a growing field of technologies used for managing the data and operational factors of clinical research. Clinical research management is often aided by Clinical systems to help automate the management and conducting of clinical trials.

Aim of the Conference:

Market Analysis Report

The global market for radiotherapy is broadly segmented on the basis of location of radiation application, type of cancer and specific technology employed. Based on the severity of the cancer, radiation beam is applied externally, internally or systemically. Radiation beams which are internally applied vary from low dose to high dose therapy based on the requirement. For external application of radiation beam the main technologies available are 3D conformal radiotherapy, adaptive radiation therapy, tomotherapy, image guided and intensity modulated radiation therapy. In gynecological, penile, esophageal and cervical cancers internal radiotherapy finds greater application while external radiotherapy treatments are used in breast, prostate, head, spine, neck, lung and brain cancers. The latest developments in implementation of CT aided intensity modulated radiotherapy and image guided techniques are expected to fuel market growth throughout the forecast period.

The global radiation oncology market size was valued at USD 5.7 billion in 2016 and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 6.5% over the forecast period. Rising adoption of radiotherapy, technological advancements in radiotherapy, rising prevalence of cancer, and increasing healthcare expenditure are the key contributing factors for lucrative growth of radiation oncology market over the forecast period. Radiotherapy is an effective treatment for many types of cancer. Radiotherapy can also be used in combination with surgery, chemotherapy, or immunotherapy. Rising adoption of radiotherapy is boosting the market growth at a significant rate. Radiotherapy can be used at three levels including primary cancer treatment, adjuvant therapy after chemotherapy or surgery, and as palliative therapy to shrink the size of tumor & suppress the symptoms.
