About the Workshop

Steve Jong will present a workshop that aims to improve your communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills by giving you a better understanding of the experiences of people of different generations.

 The workshop is interactive with discussions and exercises, and includes the following topics:

  • Demographics, surveys, and generational theory
  • Background on generations
  • Generational personas
  • Presenting information to different generations
  • Day One job success tips
  • Working with different generations
  • Looking into the (near) future

Whether you’re looking to start, advance, or maintain your career, this workshop provides a unique perspective on one of the most important factors affecting today’s workforce and your chances for success in it.


About the Presenter

Headshot of Steve JongSteve Jong is a Fellow of the Society for Technical Communication and the current president of STC New England. He has been a technical communicator for over 40 years. Steve has studied and presented on the effects of demographic change in the workplace for several years. 


 

 

 

About the Audience

This workshop is for everyone who works with, works for, or supervises people of different generations. The material covered applies to a wide range of jobs, not just technical communication. Seating is limited.
