Event description
Explore line, color, and stitch at a contemplative pace with fiber artist Eva Camacho-Sanchez.

About this Event

January 21, Tuesday, 10-5

“As you practice slow and intentional stitching, your life, your attitude, your creativity, your health, your spirituality… all of it will benefit as a result.”

— Mark Lipinsky

Explore line, color, and stitch at a contemplative pace with fiber artist Eva Camacho-Sanchez. Slow down your felting, your stitching, your practice, and your breath so you can absorb new ideas to inspire your making. Consider examples of artists from around the world who practice slow stitching on a daily basis.

Born and raised in Andalucia, Spain, Camacho-Sanchez began her career making nuno felted garments and selling them at art shows, galleries, boutiques, and museum stores. In 2017, she stopped making wearables and transitioned to teaching workshops and creating visual and conceptual fiber art. Her materials include wool, mulberry paper, and stitching. Among her influences are Korean paper artist Jiyoung Chung and fiber artists Claire Wellesley-Smith, Alice Fox, and Christine Mauersberger.

ADMISSION: $60 (includes materials). Space is limited to 12 participants. Registration required. Ages 16 and up. Open to all levels of experience.
