Event description

Description

The first in a 5-part series with multi-industry global product management pro, Jim Chi, this workshop supplies design creatives with the basic building blocks they need to launch a thriving business. We’ll explore the nitty-gritty operational issues creatives love to avoid that, if not addressed early on, can result in huge obstacles to scaling up. Our introductory workshop identifies key business and product management questions: What is your brand? How did you arrive at your product plan? Are you making what customers want, or are you selling what you can make? We’ll look at case study examples with lessons you can apply to your own business, and demonstrate the need for establishing a brand, managing your product offering and using best practices in your decision-making process about starting your product-based business. For most creatives, the “business” side of their work isn’t their expertise or passion. In this series, we provide an operational roadmap to guide you on your product journey.
