Event description

Description

Join game designer Avery Alder for an interactive delve into A Place to Fuck Each Other, a story game about queer women trying to navigate desire, expectation, and compromise. Members of the audience will be invited down to play out vignette stories of bittersweet romance (no acting experience required!), and between vignettes Avery will share anecdotes about designing the game and insights that grew out of it. There’s space for questions and involvement! Learn more about A Place to Fuck Each Other, at buriedwithoutceremony.com.

Avery Alder is a queer designer hailing from the unceded territories of the Squamish, Musqeam, and Tsleil-Waututh. She’s the designer of Monsterhearts, The Quiet Year, Dream Askew, Ribbon Drive, and a host of smaller, scrappier projects. In her design and play, she gravitates toward the moody, the personal, and the transformative. She wants to offer free food and mutual aid to as many people as possible. Her sourdough starter keeps dying but at least her two children are still alive.
