Event description
PACSCL invites you to learn about how you can make your public spaces and collections more diverse, inclusive, accessible, and welcoming.

About this Event

This event is designed to bring together local LAM professionals who are working to make their institutions, in particular their public spaces and collections, more diverse, inclusive, accessible, and welcoming to the diverse communities whom they serve and whom are represented in their collections. The afternoon will include lightning talks from speakers actively making changes at their institutions as well as a break-out session for attendees to discuss these issues and to think and plan for what they might be able to do at their own institutions or in their own work. Attendees should come away with at least one action item that they can implement.

1-1:30 introduction

1:30-2:30 first set of presentations

2:30-2:45 break

2:45-3:45 second set of presentations

3:45-4:45 workshop and discussion

4:45-5 conversation and wrap-up

This event is being offered free of charge, although space is limited. Refreshments will be provided. We are asking that this be a social-media free zone, so that everyone can be honest about their own work.
