Workshop on Art Appreciation
Unbound Visual Arts and the Harvard Allston Education Portal are presenting an Artist Workshop on Art Appreciation with Susan Loomis on Thursday February 20th at 6:30 pm at the Ed. Portal. The workshop will take place in the gallery, where "Susan Loomis: An Artist's Progression" is currently showing. The workshop is free and open to the public.
Using her own art from her childhood, college and as an adult Susan will present different perspectives on how people of all ages can look at and think about art. She will present a series of questions that anyone can use when looking at and experiencing art. Susan's art includes both representational and non-representational abstract artwork with acrylic, ink, charcoal and watercolor media.
Susan Loomis, is a founding member and Treasurer of Unbound Visual Arts. She receiveda Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, an MBA from the University of Phoenix Greater Boston campus, and a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Lesley University. She currently lives
and works in the Boston area, as Assistant to the VP of Administration and Budget Coordinator for Lesley University and is also a PhD candidate in Educational Studies at Lesley. Susan serves on the Board of Trustees of the Cambridge Women’s Center and the Brighton-Allston Historical Society Board of Directors. Fervor for art and community
continues to permeate in all of her service.

Unbound Visual Arts, Inc.
Unbound Visual Arts, Inc. was founded in 2012 in Allston-Brighton to enliven and to stimulate the creative economy with contemporary visual art for all by exhibiting, educating and sharing. As it celebrates it's first anniversary, Unbound is now the fastest growing visual arts non-profit in Greater Boston with over 70 members and 40 professionally curated themed exhibitions completed.
