
Workshop- NYC Public High School Admissions for 2E Kids

Description
Parents of "twice-exceptional" children (gifted with special needs) know their child needs an environment that engages their child's particular intellectual curiosities while supporting their special learning needs. Finding both components in a singular school is TOUGH. Parent of two 2e children, journalist, and educator, Jenn Choi will share her methods for researching schools and show you how to engage children to make this process a very successful experience for them. Get ready to find the right schools and boost your kids up to be eligible for the schools they want the most. This workshop will not focus on entry into Specialized High Schools (SHSAT exam) such as Stuyvesant, Bronx Science, etc.
Specific areas to address in the workshop:

planning on meeting executive functioning needs in high school

assessing how hard it is to get into the school of choice

creating a way for your child is take part in the process successfully
Every participant will receive a sample editable worksheet made by Jenn specifically for 2e families.
This is a parents only event. Please leave your middle schooler at home.
