Mental Health Awareness Training & Mental Health First Aid

This workshop runs over two days, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (one hour lunch and two 15-minute breaks).

How does mental health impact employees in the workplace?

 More than 1/4 of Canadian workers perceived work-associated stress to be high

 Mental health problems and illnesses affect more people in Canada than some of the major physical disorders

 1 in 5 people in Canada will experience a mental health problem or illness in any given year, with a cost of over $50 billion to our economy

 500,000 Canadians, in any given week are unable to work due to mental health problems or illnesses

 60% of people with a mental health problem or illness won’t seek help for fear of being labeled

 99,203 Canadians received CPP disability benefits for mental health reasons in 2013, representing 30.4% of all claims
