Successfully managing the LEED documentation process requires specific knowledge, tools and skills that are not covered in the LEED Reference Manual. This full day workshop is based off of the LEED Project Management course that GreenStep developed and teaches through UC Berkeley Extension. It is designed for professionals who are somewhat familiar with the LEED Rating System, but who are looking to go beyond the basics to gain a deeper understanding of the unique processes involved with managing a LEED project, including documenting several of the most common credits from start to finish.

You'll learn how to facilitate an eco-charrette, navigate LEED Online, troubleshoot potential setbacks, develop useful tools for managing the documentation process and evaluate the cost to benefit ratio of various design strategies. As part of the workshop, participants will work through several detailed credit calculations

The ultimate goal of our LEED Project Management workshop is to empower you with the knowledge, skills and tools necessary to make an immediate impact on future LEED projects.

LEED Project Management – Learning Objectives

  1. Perform LEED Credit comparison analysis, comparing how changes in design impact the Heat Island Effect and Outdoor Water Use Reduction credits.
  2. Perform LEED Credit Calculations for Indoor Water Use Reduction and analyze how various fixture selections affect water savings
  3. Analyze Energy Model results and calculate Optimize Energy Performance points based on the results of the energy model
  4. Identify EPDs and HPDs, determining which documentation applies to MRc2: Environmental Product Declaration vs Material Ingredients
  5. Develop LEED project milestones and integrate into project schedule
