Intro to Inkscape/ Laser Cutter Workshop
Introduction to two-dimensional design and fabrication techniques, using Inkscape graphic design software in conjunction with the laser cutter at this day-long workshop. Participants will be led through a series of exercises in vector drawing and editing techniques. Fabricate a laser-cut/etched, acrylic LED light or sign of your own design.
This workshop includes:
Class time, one-on-one guidance, machine time, materials and supplies, demos, and a chance to meet other makers.
What to bring:
• Lap top computer* with charger
• USB flash drive
• Brown bag lunch + drink (or grab lunch at a local spot)
*We have some desktop computers on-site. If you prefer to use one of our desktops, specifiy at time of registration.
