Event description
Are you a feral cat caretaker whose neighbors may not understand, appreciate, or welcome community cats and your efforts to protect them?

About this Event

As a community cat caretaker, you will help your cats if you are ready to address well-meaning questions from your neighbors as well as complaints and misunderstandings. We will provide you with tips for good communication with your neighbors plus ideas and handout materials to educate them about the needs of community cats and the benefits of Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). Advice for turning around already hostile situations will also be part of the presentation.

Hosts: NYC Feral Cat Initiative of the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals; Morris-Jumel Cat Colony; New York City Council Member Robert Holden; Rocky the Office Cat

Instructors: Kathleen O'Malley, NYC Feral Cat Initiative of the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals; Sheila Massey, Morris-Jumel Cat Colony

Course Fee: There is no fee to attend this workshop, but advance registration is requested.

Notes: This workshop is open to people who are 18 or older. Please do not bring animals to the workshop (with the exception of service animals).
