About this event

This program will guide you through steps you can take now so that you and your colleagues are positioned to communicate with the media and the public quickly and effectively when a crisis occurs. Crisis Communication is led by a public relations professional and a journalist.

Highlights include:

  • How to build relationships with the media and social media influencers long before the crisis occurs.
  • How to recognize that you’re in a crisis. A mass shooting or factory explosion is obvious, but some crises develop like a smoldering fire that can be extinguished with quick communication to minimize damage.
  • How to prepare to communicate internally and externally, and what to expect from the media and anyone with access to social media.
