Workshop & Contest: Greenhouse Gas Reduction and Climate Justice
Tue, April 25, 2017, 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM EDT
The Yale Climate Change and Health Initiative and the Yale Center for Business and the Environment are sponsoring a workshop and contest to pick projects in developing countries that both reduce greenhouse gas emissions and advance climate justice. You will learn about some amazing projects and will evaluate their impact on climate justice. You will then vote for your favorite one and Yale School of Public Health will donate $15,000 to these projects in proportion to the results of the voting. Spend an interesting and fun hour as we learn together and support projects that advance a healthier and more equitable world. The workshop will be led by faculty director of the Climate Change and Health Initiative, Robert Dubrow, and projects will come from the portfolio of Cool Effect,*, a leader in identifying and supporting effective greenhouse gas reduction projects.
*The co-founders of Cool Effect fund the Yale Climate Change and Health Initiative.
