Event description
Learn to create your own delightful buttons for all your wearable items! For knitters, sewers, weavers, jewelry makers, & more.

About this Event

Have you searched for a particular button to suit your fiber creations? Sometimes the size is right but the color is not. Or the design is not complimentary to the fabric. In this class, you will learn to create your own delightful buttons for your wearable items! By weaving bits of thread or yarn on plastic or metal rings, you are able to fashion the perfect closure for your handwoven or knitted things.

Supplies: Bring scissors. All other supplies will be part of a kit to be purchased from Deborah at a nominal charge.

About the teacher: After many years of teaching knitting and crochet, Deborah discovered weaving and her love of fiber, texture, and color came together. Since then she has worked full time as a weaver and artist, traveling the country teaching about fiber arts. Deborah’s work has been exhibited at galleries and museums across the country, she has won numerous awards, and writes articles for national publications. Since 2004 she has been an artist-in-residence, teacher, and weaver at Studio Channel Islands Art Center in Camarillo, CA.  Deborah loves helping knitters and others discover the joy of weaving. For more about Deborah, go to deborahjarchow.com
