Workshop: Assessing Low-Carbon Transition for Key Sectors
Event Information
Description

World Resources Institute, CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) and the French Environment and Energy Management Agency are hosting an Assessing Low-Carbon Transition for Key Sectors Workshop on Tuesday, September 19 from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm at Columbia University (Alfred Lerner Hall, Room 555). This workshop is being held in conjunction with Climate Week NYC 2017.
Note that only registered attendees will be able to access the building.
The ACT (Assessing Low Carbon Transition) Project takes a holistic view of a company’s operational impacts and dependencies, as well as its supply chain, to assess its readiness for the transition to a low-carbon world. The goal of the initiative is to drive action by companies and put them on a 2°C compatible pathway.
This day-long workshop will convene companies from three sectors that have tested preliminary ACT methodologies — retail, auto manufacturing and electric utilities — as well as NGOs, consultants and other stakeholders. The purpose of the workshop is to give companies and stakeholders an opportunity to influence how climate leadership is measured in these sectors.
Please note that capacity is limited, and this event is by invitation only. Registrants must be able to attend in person. This event is located in Alfred Lerner Hall, Room 555 (2920 Broadway) at Columbia University.
