Working With LGBTQ+ Youth
Thu, May 4, 2017, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM EDT
This training will serve to provide space for participants to examine gender in their own lives and the ways that perceptions and assumptions around gender can be harmful to the people we interact with. The goals of this training are to better equip educators, youth workers, and other service providers to uplift and support LGBTQ+ young people in various contexts (school, afterschool, community centers). Through providing language, resource sharing, strategies and tools, participants will be able to leave with tangible deliverables and action steps to their respective workspaces.
