About the Training- This is an online webinar only

There’s little doubt that good relationships between birth parents and foster parents benefit children in out-of-home care. Where there is positive co-parenting, there are better outcomes for children. But how do you go about building that relationship?

This webinar will identify common barriers to good relationships as well provide tools and strategies for overcoming those barriers. Topics covered will include:

  • Misconceptions about birth parents
  • Navigating cultural differences
  • Shared Parenting Meetings
  • Setting healthy boundaries
  • Maintaining sibling connections

About the Trainer

Peg Cadd is a Recruitment Outreach Support Specialist with the Coalition for Children, Youth & Families. As a foster/adoptive mom for over 30 years, and a foster parent trainer, Peg has extensive experience working with foster and birth families. She understands that the best outcomes for our children are when we work cooperatively in the best interest of the child.
