Description

The Cape Fear River Assembly (CFRA) is holding its annual educational conference. Click here to see a copy of this year's program. To see presentations from past programs, visit CFRA's Annual Meeting page.

This year’s theme is “Working Together to Protect the Cape Fear River.” Focus will be on GenX and other unregulated contaminants. Speakers come from the following sectors: academia; government; citizen groups; and business. This meeting will include both scientific and public policy sessions focused on:

  • Current and Emerging Unregulated Contaminants

  • GenX: Discovery Process and Perspectives

  • How a Water Utility Addresses Unregulated Contaminants

  • Commercial Users’ Reliance on Good Water Quality

  • Responsibility for Protecting Water Quality

  • Why Quality Water is Essential for the Future

Two other organizations will be holding meetings at the same location the day before (May 22, 2018) the CFRA meetings. These are the Cape Fear River Partnership and the Coastal Federation. These events are free with the puchase of a CFRA ticket. Contact each organization for more information.

The cost of $30.00 per person will include lunch, breaks and a one-year membership in CFRA. Six CEU's in wastewater are available.
