Event description
How do businesses, labor and education organizations work together to tackle workforce development needs in Maine?

About this Event

When businesses and organizations work together to retain and recruit Maine workers, it can be a win-win. Hear from three workforce and business leaders who will share what they've learned.

Aubrae Filipiak is the Bangor region director for Maine Career Connect, a Maine State Chamber of Commerce non-profit program that works with businesses across the state to attract new talent and integrate new hires and their families into their community. Filipiak is also a managing partner of CoVort, the coworking space in downtown Bangor.

Nate Wildes is the Executive Director of Live + Work in Maine, an initiative focused on attracting and retaining Maine's workforce. Live + Work in Maine partners with employers, state government, and organizations like Maine Career Connect to market, promote, and engage the people Maine's economy and communities need to thrive. Wildes is also a co-founder of Flight Deck Brewing in Brunswick

Andy Geaghan is a third generation owner/brewer of Geaghan's Pub and Brewery. He recently started a "Tasting Room Conversations" series in which he showcases people from around the Bangor region.

This event is in the Barrel room at Sea Dog Brewing Co. Located in the back of the building at ground level. There is no entrance from the restaurant upstairs.
