Join Elevate this Spring for our second-ever Conversation Series, where we'll be hosting a series of free panel discussions that focus on three key building blocks of fundraising: Capacity Building, Collaborations & Mergers, and Corporate Partnerships.

These are free events designed to bring nonprofit professionals from the DC region together and provide valuable information about in-demand topics to local nonprofits. Attend all three events, or choose the ones that are most relevant to you!

At Elevate, we — and most of your funders — know that the nonprofit sector is more effective when we work together. We also know that collaborating with other busy organizations can be hard, messy, and time-consuming. How can you make this core nonprofit building block work for you and your organization?

Join Elevate and our guest panelists for a conversation about the full spectrum of collaboration in the nonprofit sector. Our speakers each bring familiarity with a different type of nonprofit partnership:

  • Deb Gottesman is the Co-Executive Director of The Theatre Lab and co-creator of the Life Stories program, which is implemented with and adapted to the needs of a wide range of program partners ranging from juvenile detention centers to family homeless shelters;
  • Marla Bilonick, Executive Director of the Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC), who oversaw the merger of LEDC and Empowered Women International, two organizations who formed an alliance to increase their focus on launching and growing small businesses owned by members of the latino, immigrant, and refugee communities.
  • and Tim Payne, the Executive Director of Raise DC, who leverages a collective impact model to support youth from cradle to career.

Our panelists are prepared to answer your most pressing questions, so come prepared to ask about the challenges, benefits, and keys to successful collaboration in the nonprofit sector!

All sessions will be hosted at The Gallery at Elevate. A light breakfast will be served beginning at 9:00 AM, and the presentation will run begin 9:30 AM, lasting until approximately 11:00 AM.

Elevate is a growing grant writing firm based in DC with a staff of nearly 50, and we work with nonprofit organizations both in DC and around the country to help them build and maintain strong grant programs. The Gallery at Elevate is our dedicated events space, conveniently located in the heart of Chinatown in DC, one block from Gallery Place metro.
