Enterprise Studio in collaboration with the GSA Creative Network presents Working Space: Insight into Screen, Production and Media

About this Event

Meet with and speak to industry experts from the Screen, Production and Media sector. Learn what to expect in the current job market within this field and what to be aware of as a new graduate. Hear from graduates about their experience and approach to securing their first creative opportunity, establishing a career and setting a business.

Speakers include:

Julia Bird - Talent Manager BBC Scotland specialising in Arts, History & Religion. Talent Executive for BBC Studios looking after Arts, Religion and History, based in Glasgow. The department make a broad range of content in this area including popular series’ Front Row Late with Mary Beard and Imagine with Alan Yentob.

Martin Clark – (Fine Art Photography 2003) Film Maker. In 2014 Martin Co-Directed BAFTA Scotland nominated ‘Exchange and Mart’ with Cara Connolly which was also selected for the Sundance International Film Festival. He also received a further 2019 BAFTA Scotland nomination in the Short Film Category for the film he wrote and Directed, ‘Jealous Alan’.

Josephine Lohoar Self – (Painting and Printmaking 2017) Writer and Director. Working predominately in stop motion animation Josephine's most recent film ‘The Fabric of You’ was nominated for a 2019 BAFTA Scotland and received a special mention at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. Staring the voices of Iain Glen (Game of Thrones) and Damien Molony (Brassic) ‘The Fabric of You’ is currently on its year-long festival run. www.josephinelohoarself.com

Eleanor Stewart – (Visual Communication 2009) Director of Clubhouse Animations. Founded in 2019 Clubhouse is the first dedicated stop motion animation and the first 100% paper animation studio based in Scotland. Since opening the studio Eleanor has worked with clients such as Poppy Scotland and the North Uist Distillery. www.clubhouseanimations.com

Colin Macdonald – Multiple award winning Managing Director of All4Games and Commercial Director of Rivet Games. Colin has over 27-year experience of the games industry having founded/run companies in virtually every sector from mobile to AAA console.
