Event description

Description

This is one of two facilitated discussions on working effectively with feedback-based delivery. The talks are free, but currently are only given on-site at the company that books the event. Companies should be within Zone 2.

This is a facilitated discussion, not a lecture. The talks are designed for groups between 5 - 30 people.

In this this discussion, we are going to examine:

  • What does problem-solving and innovation in groups look like in practice?
  • What are the characteristics of interactions in which groups are solving problems and looking for “innovative” solutions?
  • What environmental conditions are required for such types of activity? Why?
  • Are there ways to improve the problem-solving capacity of a group? If so, what are they?
  • As problem-solving and innovation happen within some form of an organisation are there things that people in leadership roles can do to better facilitate problem-solving activities?

Time permitting we will look at the path of moving from idea or "pre-idea" to market.

Throughout the discussion we will look for activities participants can put into practice to improve their problem-solving and innovation abilities.
