A Working Equitation Schooling Show will be held Sunday July 22nd 2018. All breeds and disciplines welcome! Novice friendly! 9am start with dressage tests. Ease of handling and speed events will start late morning to early afternoon. Accepting a max of 20 participants for schooling show.

July 20 to 22 Sagehill Stables will be hosting Kim Jungman, president of Working Equitation Canada (WECan)! This exciting "new to Canada" equine sport is quickly growing and is open to all disciplines and breeds! All events are novice friendly, and all levels of riders welcome. Ride in your Western saddle, Australian saddle or English saddle!

The weekend will consist of a 2-day Intro to Working Equitation Clinic, Friday July 20th to Saturday July 21st, and a Schooling Show Sunday July 22nd. Sagehill Stables has 2, indoor areas so we will be able to offer all events and warm-up ring rain or shine! Details on Kim Jungman, clinician and judge, are below!

Stabling and day stalls available on a first come first serve basis.

Fees:

$25/phase (includes a Dressage, Ease of Handling & Speed Test)
$10 office fee/participant
$10 day stall (optional; limited day stalls available, first come first serve basis)
$25 overnight stall fee (Optional; note you do not need to purchase a day stall if you are staying overnight Saturday or Sunday)
School horses available and coaching available

Phases offered will include:

Children's Level (ages 8 to 12)
Introductory
Novice A
Novice B
Intermediate A
Intermediate B

Participants are welcome to enter in more than one phase. Ribbons for 1st to 3rd place for each level, for both Junior (8 to 17) and Amateur (18+) age categories. Please note participants under 18 years old must have a parent/guardian or coach on site at all times. School horses and coaching available to all participants.

Coggins test (6 month recent) will be mandatory for all particpants trailering in.

Please note Sagehill Stables does not provide participants with insurance coverage for tack, horses, or 3rd party liability, and it recommended that all participant purchase a Manitoba Horse Council membership.

Classes will be held indoors and will run rain or shine! Warm-up ring available throughout the day.

Kim Jungman is from the Saskatoon area and is the president of Working Equitation Canada. Her focus is on a classical training base with emphasis on creating a light and harmonious partnership. This is one of the many clinics on her schedule this summer as she travels Canada to promote this new and exciting discipline. Kim also shows and breeds Lusitano's!
