Event description
Hear how two Seattle tech natives made their dream of working and living abroad a reality.

About this Event

Do you dream of working abroad but don’t know where to begin? Perhaps you’ve pictured yourself living the expat life, working with colleagues from all over the world. Or taking weekend trips to taste wine in Italy or ski in Austria. Or simply embracing a new culture, language, and cuisine.

You’re not alone. Many people contemplate packing up their lives to start a grand adventure overseas. But what is it like to actually do it? How do you find the right job? What about working visas, or moving expenses? Where do you find housing? Decipher utility bills? Heck, how do you even make new friends?

Seattle natives Marcos and Jessica Nunes-Ueno quit their jobs at Amazon and Microsoft, packed up their house, children, and (at times) their sanity to work abroad in Berlin, Germany. They’ve had highs, they’ve had lows. But now they’re living their life-long dream in an overseas adventure.

Join them as they share their story of how they made their dream of working and living abroad a reality. This is a casual event with the opportunity to network with your peers afterward. Refreshments will be provided.

Seats are limited to 50 people, so register soon to reserve your seat!
