About The Workshop
The workshop will provide information and training for small business owners, community anchors and educational institutions, regional policy makers, union members and representatives, and others interested in learning more about the worker cooperative business model and how this model can help businesses and communities work together to create and retain local jobs and revitalize local economies.
About the Speaker
Roy Messing, Interim Director of the Ohio Employee Ownership Center (OEOC), holds an MBA from the University of Dayton and has over 20 years experience in finance and commercial banking. His work history and professional expertise include serving as CFO for the Monteville Plastics and Rubber Company, and his work as a community-based lender providing financial services to the member/owner cooperative Farm Credit Services of West Michigan. Messing is committed to helping others learn more about how entire communities stand to benefit when people are willing to come together to share the risks and responsibilities associated with business ownership.
