Description

WORK HAPPIER (AND BETTER)

Happiness. The latest research makes clear that happy people are more effective on the job, better able to contribute to their families and communities, and live longer and healthier lives.

But happiness takes some care and feeding. It requires some strategy to endure through the challenges that work and life send each of us. It’s essential to owning your career.

New York Times bestselling author Rodd Wagner has been researching how people can be happier in their jobs and throughout their careers. Rodd will join us to share his insights and take each person who attends his session through an assessment that forms the foundation for a plan to work happier and better. You will be intrigued, entertained, and - ultimately - happier.

Recommended Prework: Those attending will have the option of taking a new assessment as prework and receive a personal and confidential report at the session based on his comparison of your responses with the national benchmarks. Expect a link to the custom assessment in early October.

2:00 – 4:00 pm

Eugene Auditorium, Pre-Hall

LEAD Fun Run / Walk

Join Rodd and a Nike running coach for a no-sweat run / walk around Hollister Trail (up to 2.5 miles for runners). Whether you attend the Work Happier (And Better) workshop or not, we welcome you to join us.

For those who would like to change, NAC will provide us with access to the Bo Jackson Fitness Center locker rooms. We’ll meet at Bo Field and hit the Hollister Trail together and reconvene at The Bo Jackson Fitness Center for stretching and additional networking for those who are interested.

4:30 – 5:15 pm
