This play is based on actual events in the fight to end school segregation. The script draws from trial transcripts of the five cases that were brought together before the Supreme Court. Included are the words of Thurgood Marshall and Supreme Court Justice Earl Warren, bookends in the fight for the desegregation of schools, culminating in the famous Brown vs. the Board of Education decision in 1954.
