Words On Dance
WORDS ON DANCE is in the 23rd season of offering audiences a opportunity to hear luminaries of the dance world come together for public conversations and screenings. Hailed by the Wall Street Journal as the "nitty gritty" of dance, this unique platform continues to entertain, and educate a broad spectrum of audiences. Artists on the Words On Dance roster include the late Violette Verdy, and Michael Smuin. Other celebrated artists include Edward Villella, Maria Tallchief, Helgi Tomasson, Mark Morris, Peter Martins, Merrill Ashley, Cynthia Gregory, Christopher Wheeldon, Wendy Whelan, Rita Moreno, Eliot Feld, Twyla Tharp among other legendary artists. Words On Dance is presented in San Francisco and New York.
The current season merges the worlds of dance and sports, exploring the similarities of these two highly discliplined forms.
