WordPress is publishing platform that powers around 20% of the web and is used by over 25 million users. Why? Because WordPress allows users to easily create websites and have it up and running quickly. Also, WordPress is free!
Join HandsOn Tech Boston and Sang Yoon to learn how to create a website for your nonprofit using WordPress. This workshop will include a live demonstration of a WordPress website being built from scratch.
In this training, participants will learn:
Web Design Trends for 2014
Overview of WordPress
How to install WordPress
How to post content (including images and videos)
Themes and Plugins
This training is for beginners and no expereince or web skills are required. Please bring your laptop computer, if possible.
About Sang Yoon
For the past five years, Sang Yoon has designed, developed and maintained websites for many great companies, including DC Public Schools, John Snow, Inc., SiriusXM Radio and Smithsonian Institution. In addition, Sang has built websites for many small businesses and non-profits all with WordPress as the CMS.
Currently, Sang works for Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston as their Web Designer/Front-End Developer.
Sang earned a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from the University of Mary Washington. His interests outside of work include basketball, volunteering and eating good quality food.
