Event description
Need some time to just write? Don't have thousands of dollars to spend on a writing retreat? This free one-day, online retreat is for you.

About this event

Give yourself the gift of time and come join us for Word Women, a one-day poetry writing retreat! Connect with other poets, set intentions for the day, and just write. At the end of the day there will be a chance to share your work. All women-identifying and gender nonbinary poets are welcome.

Word Women will be facilitated by Ja'net Danielo, author of The Song of Our Disappearing, a winner of the Paper Nautilus 2020 Debut Series Chapbook Contest. Ja'net's poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Mid-American Review, Radar Poetry, The Ilanot Review, DIALOGIST, Gulf Stream, Frontier Poetry, and 2River View, among other journals. Originally from Queens, NY, she teaches at Cerritos College and lives in Long Beach, CA with her husband and her dog. You can find her at www.jdanielo.com.
