An annual celebration of Black Artistic Expression
The Jean Augustine Chair is proud to announce this year's Black History Month showcase. The showcase is opportunity for the amplification of cultural and artistic expression as we spotlight Black oral narratives and musical expression.
Performances include the York R&B Ensemble and Oscar Peterson Scholarship Ensemble under the direction of Mike Cado, the York University Gospel Choir under the direction of Karen Burke, as well as Spoken Word artists from Highschool students to Emcees.
We are honored to invite you to join us for an evening of socializing over food and beverages followed by breathtaking and thought-provoking performances, including Coco Murray and Dwayne Morgan.
