Description

Learn the essential woodworking skill of dovetailing, a fundamental skill that you can practice and build upon.

The class will consist of four classes taught on successive Tuesday nights (October 3th, October 10th, October 17th and October 24th). Initially students will learn to grind and sharpen tools their tools, and then learn how to accurately lay out a joint, saw straight consistently, and chisel precisely. The class teaches a vital woodworking skill via correct technique and regular repetition. Once you have your dovetailing skill in place, you can go on to do all kinds of fancy woodworking. Class size is limited to four. Tuition includes all materials (including the homework) and use of tools during the class but students must obtain certain tools for home practice.
