Learn basic woodworking techniques, with both hand and machine tools, to make a different project each month. In three hours you will learn, start, and finish a project to take home, such as:
- A traditional-style Sliding Lid Box with simple joints that can be sized to hold anything from rings to wine bottles
- A unique Bandsaw Box that can be an eye-catching work of art or a box with hidden compartments
- A small Wall Shelf for decorative or utility use, designed to be hung on a French cleat, or made as a standing shelf or cabinet

About the instructor:
Chuck Devine is a furniture maker and carver, holding certificates in Furniture Making and Architectural Millwork & Cabinetmaking from Palomar Community College in San Marcos, California. He offers woodworking instruction to individuals and groups ranging from teaching the basics of setting up a shop, to solving individual project problems, to navigating advanced designs. He has broad experience using a multitude of hand tools and power tools and has instructed in a variety of subjects. Chuck was Factory 3’s first class instructor when we opened in 2019, and previously taught woodworking for Central Oregon Community College from 2007 to 2015, at Open Bench Project, and privately.
