About this event
Our space includes a complete wood shop for members to use for professional or personal projects. Each class in this series will teach how to safely and effectively use a specific group of tools accessible in the wood shop. Students will be instructed in operating and maintenance procedures, appropriate technique, and wood shop etiquette. Members must demonstrate safe use of these tools to be certified to use them in our space.
Tool Trainings in the wood shop do not need to be taken in sequence. Class 4 will cover routers and the router table.

About This Instructor
After spending nearly a decade in the brewing industry, Rob Maxwell decided to shake things up a bit and left the beer world in December of 2019 in search of something different. He found his start working with a general contractor, who introduced him to Technocopia. When classes were able to resume at Technocopia, Rob enrolled in Jeff Voss’ (the wood shop steward) Shaker Style Nightstand class. In July of 2020, Rob started apprenticing under Jeff as a furniture maker. In March of 2021, Rob took over teaching the wood shop tool training series at Technocopia, and in April, he started his own woodworking business: Veridian Woodworks. When he’s not working on commissions or teaching classes, Rob can be found doing chores on his small homestead; taking care of the chickens, bees, or garden.
