Twenty years ago, surrounded by much pomp and circumstance, we walked across the stage at Constitution Hall and became alumni of Woodrow Wilson Senior High School. No matter what our experience was while there, we became forever joined as members of the Class of '89. Since that time we have been lucky enough to come together for a 10-year blowout reunion as well as a 15-year mini-reunion. Each event has been filled with wonderful reconnections with old friends and the surprise of new friendships. As we approach our much anticipated 20th reunion, new technology has put us in contact us with so many alumni who are enthusiastically looking forward to celebrating this milestone!
During the weekend of August 7-9, 2009, we are expecting alumni to travel from near and far to DC to celebrate our 20th reunion. Here is the current Schedule of Events for Friday, August 7th - Sunday, August 9th...
Friday, 6:00pm to 8:30pm: Lounge 201 for a private Happy Hour with drink specials and hors d'oeuvres
Saturday, 9:00pm to 1:00am: Evening prom-themed groove-fest at Gallaudet University's Kellogg Conference Center (”Make it Last Forever”) with Mr. Durso in attendance and featuring a performance by Wilson’s own Jason-Michael Greene as well as a limited-time top-shelf open bar and heavy hors d’oeuvres
Sunday, 12:00pm to 6:00pm: Private reunion picnic full of food and fun for alumni and their families
Ticket sales are moving and we’re looking forward to a great turnout! The ticket price includes access for one adult to all three reunion events--the Sunday event is free for kids.
Registration "packets" will be distributed to ticket purchasers via email prior to the reunion.
All additional reunion announcements will be made via the Wilson '89 Reunion web site at http://wilsontigers89.ning.com, so please join if you have not already.
Priority for reunion attendance will be given to the Wilson Class of '89.
