Description

Please join us for a trip to Boston including a whale watch! This is a members-only WoodmenLife Northeast Regional Family Event.


Event Information:

Spend a day in Boston and watch for whales with us! WoodmenLife members in the Northeast region are invited to attend this family event day trip at reduced pricing. We look forward to seeing you there!

Bus transportation will be available in some areas on a first-come, first-served basis. For those who wish to travel on their own, a limited number of tickets for the whale watch only are also available.

The Boston Harbor Cruises whale watch boat ride will depart at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 5th, from 1 Long Wharf, Boston, MA, 02110. Boarding will begin at 1:00 p.m. The watch will last approximately 3 hours, and whale sightings are guaranteed! Members are responsible for their transportation to the dock once in the city.

Members are welcome to explore the city and sight-see at their leisure during the day; the whale watch is the only organized group activity during the trip. Enjoy!

Cost:

Pricing is per person. This event is open to WoodmenLife members only.

  • $50 for whale watch and bus
  • $15 for whale watch only
  • Free for children 2 years and younger (bus and whale watch; child must be a WoodmenLife member)

Payment must be made at time of registration. All registrations are on-line. WoodmenLife member IDs will be verified, and non-member registrations will be canceled. Refund requests for member-initiated cancelations may not be possible.


Bus Details:

Bus transportation will be available from some areas, and a limited number of seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that the pick-up and drop-off times listed below are estimated and could vary, depending on traffic, etc.; thanks in advance for your patience and flexibility! Please also note that the pick-up location for return trips will be announced upon arrival in the city, and members are responsible for remembering that location, getting there, and being on time. We don’t want to leave anyone behind!

Plattsburgh/Milton: Departs from the Plattsburgh WoodmenLife Area Office, 175 Boynton Ave, Plattsburgh, NY 12901, at 6:00 a.m., with boarding beginning at 5:45 a.m. The bus will stop at the Milton, VT, Park & Ride, boarding at 7:15 a.m. and departing at 7:30 a.m. Arrival in Boston is estimated at 11:00 a.m. The bus will depart Boston at 9:00 p.m., with boarding beginning at 8:45 p.m. Arrival is estimated at midnight in Milton and 1:30 a.m. in Plattsburgh.

Auburn/Rome: Departs from the WoodmenLife Regional Office, 161 Genesee St., Auburn, NY 13021, at 5:00 a.m., with boarding beginning at 4:45 a.m. The bus will stop at the Rome, NY, thruway exit Park & Ride, boarding at 6:00 a.m. and departing at 6:15 a.m. Arrival in Boston is estimated at 11:30 a.m. The bus will depart Boston at 8:30 p.m., with boarding beginning at 8:15 p.m. Arrival is estimated at 1:00 a.m. in Rome and 2:15 a.m. in Auburn.

Albany: Departs from the Italian American Community Center, 257 Washington Ave Extension, Albany, NY 12205, at 6:00 a.m., with boarding beginning at 5:30 a.m. Arrival in Boston is estimated at 9:00 a.m. The bus will depart Boston at 9:00 p.m., with boarding beginning at 8:45 p.m. Arrival is estimated at midnight in Albany.
