APA WORKSHOP online via WebEx and in-person at Woodland Hills Learning Center
Faculty in all colleges are invited and encouraged to attend this two-hour APA training.
The workshop will be offered BOTH, in person at the Woodland Hills Learning Center and as a Webinar, accessible from any computer. The Webinar format includes illustrative PowerPoint slides and an opportunity to actively participate in discussion online.
WebEx instructions will be emailed to all who register.
This workshop includes instruction in proper citation format and proper reference page format using the APA Manual 6th Edition and guidelines. In particular, this workshop will address how to grade student papers for APA style and format for each class and guidelines for introducing APA to our undergraduate students in a step-by-step progression. In addition, this workshop will explore where to guide our students in finding trustworthy papers and materials, to aid them in avoiding plagiarism.
For faculty who prefer a face-to-face workshop, this workshop will be available on Wednesday, March 8, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., concurrent with the Webinar, at the Woodland Hills Learning Center. Lead Faculty Area Chair, Dr. Rosalind Raby will be the facilitator.
There is NO compensation for this workshop and NO compensation for mileage, in line with UOPX policies for faculty development workshops for 2017.
Registration is required.
Hope to see you there!
