Woodland Coastal Cleanup Day
Date and time
Help remove trash and plastic pollution in Woodland as thousands of volunteers do the same throughout California.
About this event
California Coastal Cleanup Day brings awareness to the marine litter problem and with a community event that gives folks a chance to get involved directly. The City of Woodland invites Woodlanders to pitch in to help support an environment where people and ecosystems can survive and thrive. Volunteer alongside your families, friends, coworkers, scout troops, school groups, and service clubs.
The event is part of the International Coastal Cleanup, organized by the Ocean Conservancy. California Coastal Cleanup Day is the largest volunteer event in the US and International Coastal Cleanup Day is the largest volunteer event on the planet!
During 2019's Coastal Cleanup Day, more than 74,000 volunteers picked up more than 900,000 pounds of trash from beaches and waterways throughout California.
Meet at the Deaner Avenue Stormwater Ditch near the corner where Deaner Avenue meets Cannery Road. Participants should be prepared to sign a waiver upon registration on the 18th.
