Wood Floor Primer: Restoring and Finishing
Event Information
Description
Join restoration expert Gordon Bock for a discussion on restoring and finishing wood floors! We'll begin with a look at the basic types of wood floors and their history, how they are constructed and installed, common woods, and their pros and cons. Then, we'll explore common issues and techniques (damage repair, extending floors, matching old and new wood, gaps) and then move on to finishing ideas and methods for old and new floors.
Learn how to read the approximate age of your floors, find matching woods for repairs, approach finishing aesthetics, and more!
