Description

The San Benito County Arts Council is now enrolling students in our Winter 1 Session at the Annex! Wood Carving and Recycled Assemblage meets on Tuesdays from 6-7:30 pm and is taught by local sculptor, Dustin Kinsley. This class is geared towards students ages 10 and up. This course will explore the tools, techniques, and materials used to create three dimensional sculptures from wood and recycled material. The class will discuss the difference between objective art and non-objective art to identify students' interests and stimulate their creativity. Students will get the opportunity to create both objectively and non-objectively, with wood and recycled assemblage.

Materials required: protective gloves and safety glasses (ANSI approved).
Materials provided: ear protection, hand tools, power tools, sculpting wood.

Your monthly registration covers the 6-week session and all of the materials listed above. $10 Sibling discount available!
