MMC Theatre Production Workshop presents Wonderland, set in contemporary New York City, where Alice is no longer a child experiencing the curiosities of growing up, but a woman who is overwhelmed by the responsibilities of being an adult and parent. Our production emphasizes the personal growth that Alice develops in response to her Wonderland experience, as she recaptures the forgotten sense of playfulness and creativity of her youth, while also rediscovering her love and trust for family. Wonderland has a book by Gregory Boyd and Jack Murphy, lyrics by Jack Murphy, and music by Frank Wildhorn, and is inspired by, and unfaithful to, the books by Lewis Carroll. The musical is performed by students in the Theatre Arts programs of the College with direction and choreography by Emily Clark, musical direction by Christine Riley, scenic design by James Morgan, lighting design by Chris Steckel, costume design by Kathleen Doyle, and stage management by Julian Olive.
