Explore dynamic stages of growth in your child's life. (New Parents)(Toddlers)(Parent Support Groups)

About this event

Welcome to Wonderful Ones, a five-week virtual class, and discussion led by Cherie Tannenbaum, NP, IBCLC, Parent Educator at Parents Place, a program of JFCS' Center for Children and Youth designed for parents of 12-22-month-olds!

We will have weekly topics exploring this dynamic stage of growth in your child's life, particularly in our current uncertain times.

Every Tuesday starting June 8, 15, 22, 29, and July 13 from 12:30 - 1:30 PM

(No meeting on July 6)

Topics we will discuss will include developmentally appropriate expectations and tips such as:

  • Emotional/Social Development
  • Toddlers' big feelings and their interactions with others
  • Getting behind the behaviors
  • Who's in charge? What is toddler discipline?
  • Activities, Learning & Resiliency
  • Daily Routines
  • Eating, naps and nighttime sleep
  • Parenting with a Partner
  • Communication and prioritizing everyone's needs, including our own

In addition, we encourage you to bring in issues and challenges from home to discuss with the group.

Fee is $40 for 5 weeks.

Registration ends 30 minutes before the first event. The link for each session will be emailed 30 minutes prior to each workshop.

Please note these workshops will NOT be recorded.

The Center for Children and Youth is a division of Jewish Family and Children's Services. Our Parents Place program helps families face all kinds of challenges. From everyday issues to challenges requiring specialized assessment; we help parents, caregivers, and educators ensure that children can grow and learn in supportive environments. Our experts offer parenting workshops, parent coaching & consultation, child behavior & school support, clinical & special needs services, parent/child activity groups, and child & family therapy.

Workshop Cancellation and Refund Policy:
In the event of a workshop cancellation due to low enrollment, you will be given the option to apply the credit toward another workshop or receive a refund. Parents Place does not provide refunds for missed workshops.  However, with 48 hours advance notice of your inability to attend, we will offer another workshop(s) of equal value in exchange for the missed workshop.
