Wonderfest is our annual festival for young people aged 13+, parents and professionals working with young people to support their wellbeing.
About this event
A day of informative and positive talks for parents / carers and young people to hear from experts and people with lived experience of mental health and wellbeing.
Our first talk is from Siobhan Parry, the boss of our Young People's team sharing with you how we work with young people here at Platfform and why it works.
We then have Claire Harris from Worth - it coaching, talking to you about how to communicate to each other kindly in the teenage years followed by Papyrus, the prevention of suicide charity will share with you all you need to know about their helpline and what to expect if you call them.
Emil Howe, a digital wellbeing expert, will talk about the positives of social media and how all of you can use it safely to get what you need and have conversations so you learn together.
Next up we have Jo, a Lead Helpline Adviser Advocate from The Meic Helpline - the Information, Advice and Advocacy support for Wales' Children and Young People, sharing all you need to know about the support they can offer.
Closing the day will be Morgan Clark, talking about LGBTQ+ Youth and how to provide support around sexual and gender identity.
