About this event
The Exhibition
Womxn in Windows presents its second annual exhibition of video works by womxn filmmakers and video artists. The artists' videos will be on view from October 15 – November 15, 2020, 24 hours a day in over 15 windows along Chinatown’s historic Chung King Road in Los Angeles. Accessible to all, guests can watch the films from the street and tune into the audio of the film via a QR code on the window.
Opening Day Viewing (RSVP Only)
From 5-8pm we will have 30 minute slots for small groups to book a walking tour with a guide to hear more about the exhibition and the artists.
A soundscape produced in partnership with dublab will play across the plaza for the event.
There will be gift bags for attendees including an exhibition zine, merchandise from our sponsors; Reebok, Free People, Unbound Babes & CANN along with incentives to eat and drink at local neighborhood spots.
The format of the exhibition allows for physical distancing and safe viewing of the works. Masks are mandatory.
How It Works
- RSVPs will be required to have a guide walk you through the exhibition
- There will be a meeting point at Chung King Studio to meet your guide and check in (no masks, no entry)
- Guides will explain the layout and safety precautions to ensure everything is safely distanced
- Session groups will be split up and will be guided by tape to walk the exhibition circuit on Chung King Road allowing for separation
