Event Details

The 4th Annual Womensphere Global Summit will convene emerging women leaders across a wide range of disciplines, academic institutions, and industries, who are focused on investing in their personal development as leaders and innovators, and who are actively engaged in creating positive impact in the world through their chosen discipline or industry.

Womensphere will convene emerging leaders and innovators to build community, forge enduring connections, enable collaborations to create impact, and work together on an actionable agenda for CREATING THE FUTURE by the next generation of women leaders.

As part of Womensphere's investment in the advancement of women in science and technology, and as part of Womensphere's partnership with key departments in Columbia University's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Womensphere is pleased to offer 10 full scholarships for women graduate students in Computer Science (at the Masters or PhD level) and 10 full scholarships for women graduate students across all of the engineering/applied sciences programs at Columbia's School of Engineering & Applied Sciences (at the Masters or PhD level).

These full scholarships are exclusive to women graduate students from these fields at Columbia University, and are non-transferable.

Columbia graduate students who avail of these scholarships are required to have a full day attendance at the Main Day of the Summit on January 17th, and have the option of participating in one or both of the Immersion Days. (If you are planning to register, but cannot attend the full day of the Summit on January 17th, please allow others to register who can attend for the full day of the Summit on January 17th.)

We aim to foster the necessary education, exchanges, partnerships, connections, collaborations, and initiatives to enable greater impact and success by the next generation of women leaders.

Womensphere Global Summits aim to create inspiration, education, and connections for emerging women leaders, in line with Womensphere’s purpose of unleashing potential, creating opportunity, inspiring impact, and transforming the world.

This year’s additional goals are around community, collaboration, impact, and creating a platform that enables participants to collaborate on working together on an actionable agenda for the evolution of our global society, and the evolution of women’s leadership and innovation globally.

The Summit will feature over 100 CEOs, founders, and award-winning industry leaders, innovators, thought leaders, entrepreneurs, NGO leaders, and social entrepreneurs as Speakers.

The Summit also features a Career Fair, Academic Fair, NGO Fair, Social Enterpreneurs Fair, and Art Exhibit, showcasing outstanding opportunities for the next generation of women leaders.

This Summit will be about building a community of emerging women leaders across sectors and disciplines, including emerging women leaders across the premier academic institutions (both graduate and undergraduate) around the world, as well as young women professionals and emerging women leaders across international organizations, companies, entrepreneurial ventures, social enterprises, BCorps, non-profits, NGOs, and the public sector.

SUMMIT MAIN DAY AND MODULES

The Womensphere Emerging Leaders Global Summit’s Main Day features plenaries around the themes and topics listed below. All topics will be covered in a plenary session. Delegates will have the opportunity to participate through speaker Q&A and discussion circles taking place during each session.  The program also offers ample opportunities to network and build connections with speakers, fellow delegates, NGO representatives, academic representatives, and company representatives across disciplines and industries.

In addition to the Main Day of the Summit, the Summit’s two Modules enable Delegates to participate in forums focused on specific disciplines and industries, providing interested Delegates with opportunities to do more focused networking and immersion across institutions, companies, and industries.
