About this event

Reset and Recharge, Play and laugh.... Located a small inland lake with beach entrance, this 5 bedroom, 4 bath home offers all the comforts and then some! You can keep active in the woods and hiking trails right out of the door and down the street, yet experience TC's downtown in a 20 min drive. A beach bonfire is the perfect way to finish a day in this "up north" playground. All activities, equipment rentals and meals are included (with extra touches to make your stay fun and special) but you are free to pick and choose what makes your heart and soul happy.



Early availability on Friday any time after noon. Upon arrival to our beautiful lake home, you will be greeted by Julie and be able to get settled into your room of retreat. There will be food to nourish you upon your arrive so that you can enjoy afternoon lake activities. Once everyone has arrived we will be able to discuss and converse about the goals and mission of our weekend. Our health and wellness in our mind, body and spirit will be the center focus! We will enjoy a healthy dinner gathering on Friday evening, and enjoy some bonding activities for the evening...an evening hike in the woods, sunset paddle, or bonfire conversations are always possible. We will conclude with time for retreat to rest and reflect.


Early start- sunrise intentions, walk and/or stretch. A warm, healthy breakfast is offered at the lake house with morning discussion session that includes mindful daily practices and rituals such as breathwork and meditation. Following breakfast there will an appointment with adventure!

Adventures will include paddleboard instruction, sup floating, sup yoga, hikes, beach yoga, guided meditation and more. Activities are optional and created to have all fitness levels enjoy! Come as you are! The order of activities and fun being served up will depend on mother-nature and what she decides works best ;-) We will discuss the founding principles of activity and how they relate to our personal lives and growth. After time to reflect from the mid-morning session, a delicious and healthy lunch will be offered.

The late afternoon will include another activity for all to enjoy and opportunities for growth and humility abound! It’s so fun to learn something new and connect in the nature that provides us those lessons.

We will have time to go into town and get a little break from our activities to explore, shop and enjoy an early dinner outing as a group at a local favorite (individuals will cover the costs of their own meal and shopping indulgences ;-)for this outing but food at the house is available should anyone choose to stay back).

Back at the house, we can enjoy bonfire and relaxation and discussion of all that the day has gifted us with!


Early start-sunrise intentions, walk and/or stretch. A healthy and hearty breakfast at the cabin will be offered and then packing and gathering belongings to commence following breakfast to make our noon checkout. Feedback and emails are welcome along with the opportunity for continued accountability and training.

We will set out for a last adventure as a group prior to the drive home to stretch and engage the legs and have our parting thoughts in nature or on water. A healthy lunch will be offered to take on your journey home, along with a weekend of unforgettable memories, friendships and incredible personal leaps forward.

**All lodging, meals, group sessions, equipment rentals, exercise, planned activities, program materials, linens, etc. are included in the price.

**Rooms are based on first come, first serve.

** If you are booking online, payment is required in full (preferred). However, a payment schedule can be arranged if needed. $100 deposit is required to hold your room with an agreed upon payment schedule. Contact Julie with any questions. If you are registering after _______then payment in full is required at the time of registration.


Please note that there will be no refunds for unforeseen events such as illness. If you cancel your participation in a retreat for any reason, unfortunately, we cannot refund your deposit. We wish we could compensate people for unforeseen circumstances (injury, family emergency, etc), but we have costs already incurred when reserving retreat centers, and accommodations. Please reach out if you have any concerns.

Julie Miller, MA, LPC is a licensed counselor, an athlete and an all around promoter of women's health and empowerment. She has 16 years experience in the fitness industry, providing group fitness instruction at Lifetime Fitness and also has worked for 25 yrs in education, with 22 of those years as a counselor.

She fell in love with the water and watersports at a very young age-- think waterskiing on her dad's shoulder at the age of 4! She continued to grow her love of watersports from water-skiing into surf, SUP, kayaking, and foil boarding. In the past 10 years, paddle boarding has expanded greatly as a passion for her as she continued into the world of racing, SUP surfing and SUP yoga. Recently, she became a brand ambassador of SIC Maui boards and loves the community and comradery that company and brand brings to her life!

Over the years, Julie continued to engage more and build more in the area of girl's and women's empowerment in her counseling practice and personally. In her own journey, Julie found that in launching herself into her wildest dreams of travel and adventure, and pushing herself outside of her comfort zone, that her own self love and confidence grew more immediately than other means or methods. As she began to share her passion and adventure with friends, she saw that this also translated and happened with others. So she dreamed of expanding this concept to a platform to help other women learn, grow, love and support themselves and one another in the process.

It's easy to see that the passion held for fitness, wellness, education and personal growth has led her to pursue sharing her love in a fusion format called UPLIFT! In winter 2020, Julie launched Uplift Adventure Retreats and she has many exciting ideas and projects on the horizon.
