About this Event

What did a bike have to do with the women's suffrage movement? And why were men afraid of women with hats? The fight to give women the vote lasted over 100 years and spanned the globe, and through a rare and authentic trove of antiques and artifacts, it's time to share the story of this historic achievement — all from the comfort of your living room.

Join New York Adventure Club for a virtual show & tell around the women's suffrage movement with The Museum of Interesting Things, a traveling interactive exhibition of antiques and inventions inspiring innovation and creativity.

Led by Denny Daniel, Founder of The Museum of Interesting Things, our live stream featuring tons of interactive demonstrations will include:

  • An introduction to The Museum of Interesting Things, and how the vast and eclectic collection of antiques and artifacts was put together back in 2007
  • A virtual show & tell of the museum's collection of antiques related to women's rights, from suffragette dresses, to historic postcards, to poll station books from the 1920 election (with names still in it)
  • An educational overview of every featured suffragette item, and their historic significance
  • A Q&A with Denny during, and after, the digital showcase

No show is ever the same.

Can't make it live? Don't worry, you'll have access to the full replay for one week!

About Denny

Denny Daniel started working as a freelance filmmaker/documentor and photo retoucher/restorer for such companies as The Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island, Songs of Love, and the New York Times.

Amassing his collection of antiques since the 1980’s, and having had over 20 museum and gallery exhibitions of his own work at locations like the Chelsea Art Museum, he decided to use his knowledge, experience, contacts and extensive collection of over 300 antiques to start an enterprise that would inspire students and some of us in the “real” world to learn from the past and innovate a better future.
