Together with Specialized, Scotts Valley Cycle Sport is hosting a four-part Women’s Ride Series. The series is focused on giving you the knowledge and confidence to take on any riding challenge and tackle your goals. Over the four weeks, we'll teach you group ride basics, bike maintenance, and nutrition and stretching for cyclists. Please see details below.
We are offering 2 rides to choose from. The Fitness rides are for those on any geared bike who are ready to push their limits and get a good work out in. We will be riding the hills of Scotts Valley, you will need work out clothing, water, a working bike with gears, and a helmet. The road rides are for beginner to intermediate road cyclists, who want to get out in a group setting, gain more confidence, and make new friends. (experience riding a road bike is required) You will need road riding attire and shoes, water bottles, nutrition, tire patch kit, helmet, and a road bike.
Monday January 2: 8:15am Learn group ride basics before heading out on either 7 mile fitness ride or 23 mile road ride.
Sunday January 8: 8:15am Learn bike maintenance tips taught by females in the industry, then head out for a 7.4 mile fitness ride or a 21 mile road ride.
Sunday January 15: 8:15am On bike nutritrion clinic followed by 9 mile fitness ride or a 26.6 mile road ride.
Sunday January 22: 8:15am Ride + Yoga, we will start off with the rides this day, choose from a 10.5 mile fitness ride or a 33 mile road ride. Yoga will be hosted later in the afternoon around 1pm. (Exact time and location TBD)
