Make your triathlon season a success! Join Mile High Multisport Coaches Kathy and Khem on Sunday June 12th for an ALL WOMEN'S open water swim clinic followed by an optional transition clinic.
This clinic is designed for participants registered for the TriBella Triathlon, but is open to all women and abilities. You must be able to stay afloat with moderate comfort. This is not a learn to swim class. Participants who are able to swim at least 750 yards in a pool will benefit most from this clinic, but not required.
DATE/TIME: Sunday, June 12th, 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM (transition Clinic 11-11:30 AM)
PLACE: Bear Creek Lake Park (Lakewood, CO)
There is a $10 per car park entrance fee or you can park your car on Rooney Road across from the Conoco gas station and ride into the park. The swim beach is located to the right as you enter the park. Follow the road and look for signs on the right to SWIM BEACH. Use the 1st enterance. (Second is Marina). There is a rack for bikes, but you may want to bring a lock but it should not be crowded at this time of day.
We will discuss
- Race preparation, starting position, swim entry/exit
- Equipment: goggles, wetsuit, body glide
- Safety, water temperature, conditions
- Breathing and sighting techniques
- Mental aspects, fears of open water
- and answer any questions you may have
There is special pricing for REGISTERED TriBella Triathlon Participants and active members of Mile High Multisport. Please be sure you purchase the correct ticket. Those not purchasing the correct ticket will not be allowed to participate.
TriBella/MHM (Early Bird by June 6th, 11:30 PM) - $25

After June 6th, 11:30 PM price increases $10. Registration closes June 12th, 8AM
You will be emailed a waiver that MUST be signed before entering the water.
We will begin promptly at 9:00 AM so plan to arrive early. The coaches will give important verbal information for the beginner to the experienced triathlete. We will put on our wetsuits and then head to the water for actual swim time. It is recommended that you arrive wearing your swimsuit/tri suit, however there is a bathroom available.
At 11:00 AM we will go to our bikes and review how to successfully set up transition. This will last approximately 30 minutes. You are free at that point to actually practice on your own but there will be traffic in the park so please be careful. All clinics will end at 11:30 AM.
